Exploring music and art through the masterful Pictures at an Exhibition by Mussorgsky arranged by Ravel presents families with an enchanting afternoon.  Teaming with arts and scientists we will explore the worlds of music, visual art, and color.  Carrie Trenholm, Laura Cotts, Lydia Brescia, Cedar Music Store, and SUMA (Southern Utah Museum of Art) are among those helping your orchestra create an exceptional family afternoon.  The lobby displays will be opening at 1:00pm, while the concert will be begin at 2:00pm, followed by Hands-on Arts and Science activities from

Handel’s Messiah: the Tradition of Music Continues

     The Orchestra of Southern Utah and Southern Utah Chorale performs their 71th concert of Handel’s Messiah Concert on Sunday, December 11th and Monday, December 12th at 7:30 pm in the Heritage Center (105 North 100 East) in Cedar City.  This concert is presented FREE to the public thanks to the generous sponsorships of State Bank of Southern Utah and the Leavitt Group.

World Journey

The electrifying introduction to Thus Spake Zarathustra by Richard Strauss sets the stage for a stellar concert.  We are thrilled to offer the Pines of Rome by Respighi as well as the "Jupiter" Symphony No. 41 by Mozart, and Ritual ShenNong by Zhou Hong.

Adults $10, Students $5, Groups of 6  $30.  Tickets available at the Heritage Center Box Office.

CDs and DVDs will have the Strauss, Mozart and Hong pieces, but not the Pines of Rome due to copyright restrictions.
