Video Ideas is producing a documentary of a section of the Old Spanish Trail in southern Utah. This documentary will be used as a High Definition video, sequenced and timed to performances of the Spanish Trail Suite commissioned by the Orchestra of Southern Utah and composed by Steven Nelson and Marshall McDonald. The live performance video will feature the spectacular scenery of southern Utah and will also utilize historic photographs and re-created scenes of the Paiute Indians, Hispanic traders, Mormon settlers and pioneers who used the trail throughout it's history.

The Orchestra of Southern Utah will premiere the presentation at a performance in April 2008 in Cedar City, Utah. It is scheduled to be performed at Carnegie Hall in 2009 and in major cities throughout China in 2010. The score and the sequenced video presentation will be available for performance rental by symphonies beginning in 2008.

A full video enhancement for broadcast and retail will also be produced by Video Ideas Productions.
